Verant Wealth sees gap in market to provide proactive customer-centric financial guidance focused on client education and empowerment
Verant Wealth, a new financial services firm is proud to announce its official opening. With a mission to provide thoughtful, personalized financial strategies to a larger market, Verant Wealth serves individuals, families, and business owners who need a partner and qualified advisor by their side.
Verant Wealth is founded by Adam Knaust, who spent the greater part of seventeen-years as a sole proprietor in the financial services sector. Throughout his career, Knaust has seen great success focusing on educating people about finances and the importance of planning for their financial future. He is launching Verant Wealth because he felt it was time to bring this comprehensive approach to financial advisory services to a larger market.
Financial literacy was taught to Knaust from a young age by his CPA father and schoolteacher mother. “I was given the tools to understand finances in the earliest stages of my life, and I believe everyone should be giving the same education to empower their wealth potential. We emphasis client education as a core tenant of our process,” said Knaust.
“At Verant Wealth, we don’t believe in transactional relationships or one-size-fits-all planning,” said Knaust. “We view ourselves as advocates. We enjoy learning about our clients’ wants and needs and do our best to understand what matters most. We then work closely with them to build a financial path that supports their unique future—from household expenses to long-term retirement goals and beyond.”
“After nearly twenty-years in the financial advisory business, I noticed that more often than not, people aren’t being taught the fundamentals of managing money and planning for the future. It comes down to the fact that many people just need someone who is willing to take the time to teach them and advocate for them when they need it.”
Verant Wealth’s clients are primarily located in the Capital Region, with other clients throughout the northeast. The firm offers a full suite of services, including financial planning and investment management; budgeting, cash flow and debt reduction strategies; retirement, education and major milestone planning; tax strategy and insurance review; business succession and retirement plan design, and; legacy and philanthropic planning.
“Over the years, I have found that people view retirement as the finish line for their financial management plans. The reality is that retirement is only the midpoint of a comprehensive wealth program. It is even more important to work with a dynamic advisor who understands disbursement and tax strategies that keeps clients living comfortably for the rest of their years. This was a major factor that led to me starting Verant Wealth,” said Knaust.
“Whether supporting a young professional’s first financial plan or guiding a family through retirement transitions, Verant Wealth takes a holistic, relationship-driven approach. Clients can expect proactive communication, steady guidance, and planning that adapts with life’s changes.”
Giving back is a vital aspect of Verant Wealth’s identity. The firm supports local organizations including Ronald McDonald House, the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York, The Humane Society, Camp Erin Albany, and Toys for Tots. Knaust also serves on the board of Community Caregivers and is a benefactor of the Albany Symphony Orchestra.
Founded on ten core principles—including fiduciary integrity, proactive stewardship, and empowerment through education. The firm emphasizes long-term partnerships, offering guidance shaped by clients’ values, goals, and lives.
